Dr. Yahya Pasdar, the Director of International Affairs
at the Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, stated that recently we
invited Mr. Jafar Sattar Al-Khazaali, the Consul General of Iraq and
representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kermanshah, to visit the
educational, research, and treatment facilities of the university. We also held
a joint meeting with the university chancellor , vice chancellors, and other
administrative staff that was in line with the negotiations of cultural advisor
of Islamic Republic of Iran. Fortunately, these negotiations resulted in the
inclusion of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences in the list of approved
universities by the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq for the upcoming
academic year. Starting from the new academic year, we will have the
opportunity to accept students from all over Iraq country.
Considering the shared border and religious and
cultural similarities between the two countries, this step will be a
significant move towards increasing scientific, research, and cultural
communication. It will provide a suitable opportunity for signing international
agreements in scientific, research, and technological areas between
universities in both countries.
